Veil of Time  by Cheshire based artist Kirsty Coleman is a powerful ceramic sculpture that speaks to endurance, identity, and the quiet passage of time. The surface is richly layered with textured glazes in earthy, weathered tones, evoking an almost archeological presence. Designs imprinted across the figure suggests mark a language, memory of a lived script of experience. 
Subtle turquoise accents move through the form like veins, enhancing the organic almost visceral quality of the piece. 

A carefully placed gold leaf element introduces a moment of luminosity within the worn surface, symbolising value, fragility and the persistence of beauty over time. 

Both ancient in feel and distinctly contemporary in execution, The Veil of Time is a compelling example of Kirsty Coleman’s evolving practice, intuitive, expressive and materially rich.
