Created entirely by hand, the sculpture is formed from manipulated wire, shaped carefully using pliers to achieve both strength and delicacy. The minimal line work allows emotion to take center stage, viewers instinctively recognise the moment, and often see their own story within it. 
Emmas work is rooted in the connection between people, the quiet gestures, reunions and shared human experiences that define our lives. The streetlamp adds a sense of place and memory, suggesting travel, waiting, and the passage of time. 

The sculpture sits on an solid oak base, into which tiny holes are drilled so the elongated wire elements can be securely positioned.The piece can be easily taken apart for transport and reassembled at home, making it both practical and beautifully made.
