Memories by Micheal James Talbot is a deeply introspective sculpture capturing a quiet moment of reflection and vulnerability. The seated female figure curves inward, her posture protective and contemplative as though holding a private thought or distant recollection. The composition draws a the eye around the form, encouraging a slow considered viewing experience. 

Unlike Talbot’s mythological inspired vertical works, Memories explores human emotion in a more intimate and grounded way. The pose with limbs folded gently inward, creates a powerful sense of stillness and emotional depth. A sculpture that speaks softly rather than commands, inviting personal connection from the viewer. 

The figure sits freely on a marble base with an integrated turntable allowing the sculpture to be rotated and appreciated from every angle. This interactive element enhances the sense of engagement, revealing subtle shifts in line, shadow and expression as the work moves. 

Cast using traditional hot cast techniques, each sculpture in the edition is individually hand finished. The patina is applied by hand giving each piece its own tonal richness and character.
