Each sculpture begins with a meticulously hand-sculpted clay original, a process that alone can take well over 200 hours before moulds are created and the hot-cast bronze production begins.
Every piece is then individually patinated by Michael, who builds up the surface colour through more than 30 layers of carefully applied chemicals. This traditional, hand-finished technique means that no two bronzes are ever identical — each sculpture within the edition carries its own unique character and tonal variation.
