Born in Staffordshire in 1972, Neil Welch is an acclaimed British Figurative bronze sculptor recognised for his expressive interpretation of the human form.
Largely self taught, Neil’s artistic journey began in childhood and was shaped further by a formative apprenticeship at the new Victoria Theatre as a stage and props designer. He later spent seven years as an in house sculptor for Wedgwood, refining the craftsmanship and technical precision that define his work today.
For over three decades, Neil has created sculptures celebrated for their fluid movement, anatomical understanding and serene, almost ethereal presence. His figures possess a quiet strength, contemporary in execution yet timeless in spirit.
Neil has received numerous prestigious commissions, including Royal portraits for Royal Doulton, a large scale Duke of Wellington on horseback marking the anniversary of the battle of Waterloo, and sculptural works for Downton Abbey. Hiswork is held in permanent display at the Wedgwood Museum and collected internationally.
Each Sculpture is personally overseen by Neil from concept through to final patination, working closely with the foundry to achieve exceptional finishes. His limited edition bronzes are highly sought after and produced in strictly limited numbers.
This new collection presents a rare opportunity to acquire work directly connected to the artists practice.
