Owner and professional artist Lyndsey Selley, has a long standing passion with art and has been a collector and purveyor of art for over 30 years. During this time she has built up a network of artists, collectors and associated experts within the art industry which has proven to be invaluable to running Jarva Gallery and more recently opening a new exciting gallery -Jarva Fine Art in Buxton situated at the beautiful Crescent Hotel.
We pride ourselves on offering stylish and inspirational art by both emerging and internationally acclaimed artists. Artists are selected based on the individual talent and quality of the artwork that offer a unique style and vision to our portfolio.
The original Jarva Gallery and picture framers situated in Whaley Bridge opened with the sale of one of her own original wildlife paintings that sold at Christie's Auctions in New York in 2009.
Needing a temporary space to continue her painting whilst her new studio space at home was being built she found the premises that was to become Jarva Gallery in Whaley Bridge. Originally this was only going to be for 12 months- Now 15 years later ( you could say she was slightly distracted !) the gallery has chosen to close its doors permanently in March 2024 stopping picture framing and concentrating on the success of the new gallery , Jarva Fine Art situated in Buxton at the stunning Crescent Hotel which opened in 2021.
On opening Jarva Fine Art Lyndsey and manager Ben collaborated with Buckingham Fine Art one of the leading Fine Art distributors and publishers in the industry since 1983.
Both believe in making "Art Accessible to all" and now offer flexible payment options.
We pride ourselves on making our gallery comfortable and fun for you to visit whether its just to browse and chat, invest in your first piece of art, add to your existing portfolio or looking for that special gift?
