This leopard is Jarva who the gallery is named after. This is a photo of the original painting of mine, probably my most famous peice. Anyone who knows my work knows I have painted Jarva many times.
The painting was painted from a photograph I took in South Africa, a region called Timbavati. The locals named the leopard as they are territorial to an area. Jarva had a cub they named Rock Fig and we returned a year later to take photos of her. Jarva was no longer around then but Rock Fig was doing well. This was quite a few years ago now.
